Ophelia’s is o(fish)ally a hit for brunch!

The Chesapeake Room has officially been revamped into Ophelia’s Fish House right on Barrack’s Row and dang, is it a wonderful joint! The brunch items are wicked good and definitely exceeded my expectations. My oldest brother, Tom, and I had a great brunch at Ophelia’s right before the Christmas holiday.

Tom and I both ordered delicious Bloody Marys. The spiciness was just right and as a crazy olive fan, Bex really approved of these jumbo olives.

How could I go to a fish house and not order some delicious shrimp appetizers? These jumbo shrimp were delightful and seasoned very nicely.

Ok, I thought the shrimp appetizer was good but this roasted calamari was even better. This is a must-get if you go to Ophelia’s for brunch. It is served nice and warm with a great kick in this small cast-iron serving dish. The warm fresh bread was also great for dipping into the extra sauce and fresh herbs.

I ordered the crab and spinach omelet with a delicious side of breakfast potatoes and peppers. This was such a hearty omelet with great flavor combinations.

Tom ordered the Shrimp & Grits – a gorgeous dish and amazing menu choice. I am definitely getting this the next time I visit.

Toast. Now this… is beautiful thick toast. A+ Ophelia’s. Bex highly suggests your great brunch menu. Can’t wait to come back!
